Makeup // NARS Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Palette

NARS Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Palette - £45
(Limited Edition Holiday 2013)

I had been considering purchasing this palette for a while, but it had sold out of online stores such as John Lewis, House of Fraser and Debenhams. I even looked on eBay and there were some crazy mofos bidding £100's for this palette which I was not prepared to do. So I decided to have a quick look in the most obvious place possible - the NARS website - and lo and behold it was still in stock. You would never put the words 'Nars' and 'good value' in the same sentence because it's a bloody expensive brand, but I think that this palette is amazing value for money. A single Nars blush is £21.50 and 0.16oz, and for £45 you get 4 blushes, 1 highlighter and 1 bronzer each 0.14oz.

The palette includes (left to right):
  • Devotee Highlighting Blush: Alabaster glow
  • Mistinguette Blush: Bright pink
  • Orgasm Blush: Peachy pink with shimmer
  • Laguna Bronzer: Brown with golden shimmer
  • Deep Throat Blush: Peach with shimmer
  • Goulue Blush: Medium pink
The fact that my beloved Laguna bronzer came with this palette sold it for me as I only have a few uses left out of my old one. My favourite shade is by far Deep Throat, and am considering buying another so that it's a little more handbag friendly than this palette. The only shade I don't really care for is Orgasm, I already have the single blush and I've barely touched the surface as it's extremely shimmery.

The only downfall was that the postage was £7.99 or free for orders over £50, and lets be real, what the hell can you buy from Nars for a fiver. So I ended up adding a makeup sponge and a pump (I don't own a Nars foundation so I don't really know what to do with it haha) to qualify for free delivery.

I wrote this post a while ago and unfortunately this palette is no longer available. However, Nars are constantly coming out with new palettes so keep your eyes peeled for a beaut like this one.

Lotsa Love.

  1. This is go gorgeous! I had seen a few beauty vloggers discuss this but hadn't really taken much notice. But after reading this, I can def see the hype - great value, and some of NARS' best cheek products!
It's bittersweet that it's no longer available, you've pretty much convinced me I need it in my life...but I DEFINITELY can't afford it right now haha!

    Great post :)

  2. This palette looks amazing. It is nice to have more choice when it comes to colours of blush. It is just such a shame it is so expensive. Something I will definitely have to save up for though! x
