Avène Cleanance Lotion: This 'anti-shine regulating' lotion from Avène 'for oily, blemish-prone skin' has been one of my skincare staples for almost a year now. I use it as my daily moisturiser before applying my makeup. It has a silicone type texture (similar to that of Benefits Porefessional) which smooths over the skin, eliminating the appearance of pores and any fine lines. £10.50 from Boots.

Bourjois Paris Bronzing Primer: This is the high street version of Chanel’s Soleil Tan De Chanel, however this is a steal at £9.99 appose to £37.50. I wouldn’t say this can work as a ‘bronzing primer’ for everyone, as it is very orangey. I personally used this as a primer whilst on my holiday in Ibiza as I go extremely dark in the sun. It was exactly what I needed for the hot nights out to keep my makeup on. I even used this on its own as it has a light coverage just to even out my skin tone. £9.99 from Boots.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo: Everyone seems to be raving about this at the moment… I first bought this at the start of the year after seeing Ruth Crilly from A Model Recommends Youtube video. I used this to help unclog my pores and it worked within a few days. I recently stopped using this after I thought I couldn’t justify the £13 a tube price tag. Turns out I couldn’t live without it and repurchased last week and have already fallen back in love with it. If you have oily or blemish-prone skin, you need to buy this! £13.00 Boots.

Mac Fix+: This stuff has been a life saver throughout the summer! I bought the travel size for my holiday in Ibiza and I’m glad I did as this little bottle goes a long way. My makeup definitely lasts longer when I spritz this after applying, and it’s extremely refreshing if you use it during the day. It also made it into my favourites as I’m not a huge fan of matte makeup, but because I have oily skin, it’s the finish most suited to me. After a spray of Mac Fix+ it gives me a slight dewy look without being oily which is perfect. £7.00 from Mac.

Mac Lipstick in Lady Danger: After seeing The Saturdays rave about Lady Danger during an interview on the Pixiwoo’s Youtube channel I had to get this. A combination of the orangey red colour, and the matte finish makes this the perfect warm-toned red lip on my complexion. I sport it from popping out shopping to a night out, I can’t get enough. £14.00 Mac.

Mac Studio Fix Powder: I bought this on a bit of a whim, as I had some money to spend on my birthday. I bought it in the shade NC40, which is my summer shade in the Studio Fix Fluid, however the powder comes out much lighter so should be fine for winter as well. I bought it as more of a setting powder than a foundation, but on the odd occasion when I’m being lazy I will wear this alone. With a light hand it can instantly get rid of any oiliness without looking cakey. £21.50 Mac.

Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB Cream: It claims to be an 8-in-1 BB Cream, creating a natural glow, complimenting skin tones, spf30, hydrating, blurring imperfections, oil free and non-greasy, smoothing and feels fresh. I would actually agree with all of these statements! I have it in the colour Dark and it is perfect for my summer skin tone. It is one of the lightest coverage BB creams that I have ever tried, bordering on a tinted moisturiser, but this, concealer and a setting powder is all I really need during the summer months for a perfect base. £7.99 from Boots.

Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna: Who doesn’t love this bronzer? In the shade Laguna, it seems to be the perfect bronzer, suiting a huge range of skin tones. It has been the only bronzer I have used during the holidays, creating an amazing bronzy, summery look. I wanted to cry when I hit pan last month, but I has lasted me since Christmas so I think you get your money’s worth. It is pricey at £26.00, but if you’re a student like me, snap it up on and get 10% student discount for a little bit cheaper. £26.00

Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in 027 Juicy Papaya: I have a huge collection of the Revlon lip butters, they are so quick and easy to apply that they are a staple in my makeup collection. The lip butter in the shade Juicy Papaya, is by far my favourite being a glossy peachy coral colour which would suit any skin tone (particularly those with a tan). £7.99 Boots.

Love Ruby.
