Top 10 Trainers: Air Force 1

Next on my list of Top 10 Trainers are the low Nike Air Force 1s. In my opinion, white is the only colour worth getting. They are so crisp, and I would never dream of wearing mine out if it's raining. They retail for £66.99 and around the £40 mark if you are lucky enough to have size 5.5 and under. I think this is actually extremely reasonable for a classic and popular style of Nikes', when the Air Max can retail from anything between £94-£125. They aren't as comfortable as the Air Max, as I feel they are quite structured and hard with the thick sole; however, this means they are less likely to lose their shape or crease. They are the staple white trainer in my wardrobe and think they can be paired with any outfit - from a casual outfit of MOM jeans and a crop top, to a dressier outfit of my American Apparel tricot skater dress. I purchased mine from office.co.uk, and if you're a student you'll get an extra 10% off.

Haulin' #3

Payday came while I was away in Greece, so the moment I got home I literally ran to my laptop to buy some of the bits on my Wantworthy list - sad I know. After putting all of my crop tops and denim shorts away till next summer, I found myself with little in my wardrobe that I actually liked. I've decided that I would rather invest in key interchangeable wardrobe pieces than lots of cheaper items that I will get less wear out of. I do tend to follow trends so I mixed up the haul with the Goth, Camo, Tartan/Checked and Sports-luxe trends.

How to: Banana Bread

So you may be thinking, 'What the hell? I thought this was a fashion/beauty blog'. But due to my obsession with the Great British Bake Off, I have been recently on a bit of a baking kick. Things I bake never really turn out right, and I usually buy the box kits of cake mix; but today I thought I would have a go at Banana Bread from scratch. It's super easy, tastes amazing and nothing actually went wrong! If you fancy a go, this is what you'll need:

285g of plain flour
1 tsp of bicarbonate of soda 
2 eggs
1/2 a tsp of salt
225g of caster sugar
3 or 4 ripe bananas 
110g butter
85ml milk
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Extra butter for greasing

First, I preheated the oven to 180C and mashed my bananas in a mixing bowl. The recipe gave some complicated way of combining the ingredients, I just chucked it all in and mixed it with a fork. It's best not to blend it as it's nice to bite into chunks of banana when it is finished. I then greased a Pyrex dish with butter and poured in the mixture. The recipe told me I needed to bake the bread for an hour, however it took almost 2 hours. When you can stick a knife through the center and it comes out clean, it's done.

Haulin' #2 - Korres

I thought I would share a little beauty haul from Duty Free at Corfu airport seen as I haven't blogged in a while. I was pretty set on getting a perfume while browsing the selection in Duty Free, but none of them were that cheaper than on the high street. However, I came across a little counter of Korres products, never actually making the connection that its a Greek brand (being produced in Athens). When in Greece, do as the Greeks do and all that. I thought I'd get a little selection of their products to try out and review. I bought:

1. Korres Almond & Linseed Hair Mask For Dry/Damaged Hair 125ml

2. Korres Exfoliating Body Scrubs 150ml in Watermelon

3. Korres Showergel 250ml in Coconut Milk

4. Korres Moisturising Body Milk 200ml in Mint Tea

5. Korres Milk Protein Cleansing Wipes

All of this came to 38.50 euro, about £32. Considering from ASOS all of this would have totaled £46.50 it was a pretty good deal..

Last Week #1 - Greece

I thought I'd write a quick post about my holiday to Corfu, Greece last week. I haven't been on a family holiday since 2010 - only a crazy holiday to Ibiza earlier this year - so it was nice to get away somewhere quiet and relaxing. We stayed in a small seaside town called Agios Gordios where we've visited twice before. Despite the fact that I was the youngest person holidaying there by about 40 years, it was lovely to just have some peace and quiet, and an excuse to do absolutely nothing for 7 days.
